I have been spending a lot of time recently checking out the sites I run to make sure there are no errors, mistakes and generally tidying up the code and stuff, so they run faster.

Whilst doing this I have noticed that in my site stats there are a number of sites "Sponging" off my site. For want of a better word they´ve nicked my images by linking to them from their own site but not bothered to ask permission to use them or to place a link to my site. I have also noticed my images being used elsewhere, more below.

I didn´t want to have to do this but all the images on the site are my copyright, I know there not the full image but cut down versions, however they are here for others to look at not for you to leech off for your own site or even pass off as your own work.

If you want to use my images on your site then check out below and then ask!! I´ll then check out your site and say "Yes" or "No"

If I find more leeching of my images or sites with my images on, who have not asked me for permission I will take action against you or your ISP where the images are located.

Water Mark
The reason all the larger images have a watermark is because I got sick of finding my images on other websites, where the site owner has either used the images without my knowledge or have not put a link back to my site. I have even found a site where the owner had passed off a load of my images as there own for capital gain!

If I find any of my images being used elsewhere then I will take action against you. These images are my copyright and the least I would expect is a link back to this site if you use them. Hence the watermark.

Use of my Images
My images are for sale and can be used elsewhere and if you want to use any of the images in the photography section of the site then contact me at mykp@mykp.co.uk and quote the section and the image number you wish to use is in and the image name. It should be in the bottom right corner.

Usage rights have been split as below.

Individuals/Charitable Organisations
I will for individuals and charity website allow use of my images but the copyright on the images must remain intact with a link back to my website. This is unless the image is to be used in a montage then a credit somewhere on the site with a link would be okay. I will forward an image 800x600 approximately in size, with no water mark. If you want the full high resolution image then complete the checkout and purchase the image, there competitively priced.

Commercial
If you are a commericial organisation who wish to use any of these images then contact me to discuss the use of the image, there will however be a small charge for each image and images will be forwarded to an address on CD or placed available for download. Get in touch with me here
