Mercedes Benz A210 AMG Evolution

Below are a few images of our Mercedes A210 Evolution.

This is the top of the range A-Class model variant W168 and is powered by a 2.1 Litre engine. The engine is the same as that in the A190 but the stroke has been lengthened to give the 2100cc from the same engine.

Styling is by AMG with colour coded bodykit and subtle styling changes such as the rear screen side spoilers and modified front and rear bumper.

A full list of specifications can be found on the Mercedes A210 Specifications page here.

If you have a Mercedes A-class or are thinking about buying on then you could do no worse than join the Mercedes A-class owners or Baby Benz club. There is some very useful information on here about the dos and donts of buying a Mercedes A-class.

OIl Problem
Hi there Mike

How are you?

Haven t spoken to you for a while, i hope you re allright.

i ve got a problem with the a class evolution. and your my best doctor, lol.

1: When i turn the steering wheel nearly full lock when turning in the road, i can hear a deep hollow like sound, like if something is dry.

2: What type of oil should i use? there s so many and i m confused.

Anyway i m surprised to see so many a classes around nowadays, but i m proud to say that my a class evolution stands out.

Thanks Mike

saf, that noise you hearing is synonymous with steering column failure. if you wiggle the steering wheel does it feel loose?

This is an all too common fault on right hand drive a-classes due to the extra distance the steering rack has to travel on right hand drive cars. However once you ve bought the part any compitent mechanic should be able to swap it over quickly.

As for which oil to use, no idea as I never touched my a-class mechanically.

The Best A Class
hi

just bought the merc a class evolution, the same model as in the pics.

its a beauty to look out. its looks more elegant than the new a classes.

however i do have some problems in relation to the cars audio and its required service.

i would appreciate if someone could get back to me, to help me out on these matters.

saf

mykp says:
What appears to be the problem with the Audio? Service is 12,000 miles or 12 months. Take a look at http://www.aclassinfo.co.uk/mypage.1.htm as this site has loads of info on the A-class.
