Reset Service Indicator
 How to reset your Mercedes (W168) A-Class Service Indicator.
This applies to the W168 Mk1 and Mk1 Facelifted A-Class only, IE: A140, A160, A190 & A210 Petrol and the A160CDI, A170CDI diesel engines.
Procedure begins.
Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock and immediately press button 000.0 twice within the space of one second.
Turn the key to position 0 in the ignition lock.
Press and hold button 000.0 Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock. Keep button 000.0 pressed.
Service message with current remaining distance or remaining time appears.
After about 10 seconds, an acoustic signal will sound and the service display with the new starting distance or starting time appears for about 10 seconds.
Release button 000.0
Thats it youve reset your service indicator.

Service indicator
I have a 2003 A210 Evo just come up with service on computer 1 spanner the cars covered 20,000 miles called MB today and £450 for service. My friend is a good mechanic and advised me to get all the parts from mercedes under his name and i will get the discount for all the parts but i need to set the service indicator i have followed what you are all advising and its now gone.

It Worked!
Many thanks,that worked .The only comment is that you need to wait for approx 2 secs for the current service interval to appear on the screen before pressing the 000.0 button twice.Brilliant.
