Teggs Nose, Macclesfield
Teggs Nose country park on the Macclesfield/Derbyshire border and part of the Grit and Gears and Gritstone Trails.
Teggs nose used to be a quarry in Macclesfield of days gone by, and some of the olde quarrying machinery is still strewn around the area, some of which can be seen in the photos before.
Now the park is for recreational use and there are some great walks around the area and some great views over Macclesfield and the Cheshire plane. On a good day you can see across to Liverpool.
My favourite view is at dusk when the street lights are on down in Macclesfield but the sky still showns some signs of light or at dawn when the sun rises over Macclesfield Forest.
