On the 3rd January 2018 I had the pleasure of going up and down on the Falkirk Wheel and filmed the up part of the journey. If you ever visit the Falkirk wheel I can heartily recommend taking a trip on the Falkirk Wheel.
Below is a time lapse video of the journey up the Falkirk wheel. There is a little cut just as the boat reaches the top as my gimble decided that would be a great time to go nuts and swivel and rotate on its own.
The Falkirk Wheel is a great engineering marvel which transfers boats the 24 metres from the Forth and Clyde Canal to the Union Canal.
Despite the imposing size and stature, the Falkirk wheel uses about the same electricity as it would take to boil 8 kettles to rotate 180 degrees and lift or lower boats from the canals.
If you found this video useful then why not buy me a coffee/beer?
