Below is a gallery of photos of Macclesfield in Cheshire, taken over the past 15 years of living here.
In this gallery of photos of Macclesfield I have added descriptions of the places in in the photo name and you can click the images to view a larger picture.
Please check back on a regular basis as I am adding more photos of Macclesfield all the time as I spend a great amount of time walking round the area with my dogs.
Macclesfield is located in East Cheshire and is close to the hills of Derbyshire and Staffordshire and is a Mecca for those who enjoy walking and other outdoor pursuits. Our town is worth a visit as it has many museums, historic buildings, great shops (including the must see Arighi Bianchi’s) as well as some great pubs, restaurants and cafe’s as well two great parks to the West and South of the town. Macclesfield also has a canal which passes close to the town centre and leads to the parriferary towns of Bollington to the north and Sutton and Langley to the south. Further to the east of Langley you will also Macclesfield Forest and eventually Shutlingsloe, or the Cheshire Matterhorn, which is the third highest peak in Cheshire at 506 metres.
I have put a selection of these images on this page for you to look at and hopefully decide to visit the town itself.
